Commercial insurance. Eligible commercially insured patients may qualify for the Xolair Copay Card. Eligible patients may pay as little as $5 per dose, up to $15,000 per year, subject to current program terms. View current program ↑
Medicare. Manufacturer copay savings cannot be used when government insurance is paying for Xolair; the federal Anti-Kickback Statute is why, per HHS OIG guidance on copayment coupons. Genentech Access Solutions is not a fallback either: it is limited to patients with no insurance at all. Three foundation funds nominally accept Medicare patients with a qualifying Xolair indication: HealthWell Asthma, HealthWell Urticaria, and PAN Foundation Asthma. Self-administration and these programs. Since 2021 the Xolair label has allowed patients to self-inject at home after in-office initiation, which can move the drug from buy-and-bill to the pharmacy benefit mid-course. Both Genentech programs cover the drug cost regardless of who gives the injection or which benefit pays for it, but neither one pays the administration line (96372) when a clinician gives the dose.
