Commercial insurance: The ORENCIA On Call Copay Program is Bristol Myers Squibb's commercial copay card. Eligible patients pay $5 per one-month supply, up to $15,000 a year. An Orencia claim carries two lines, the drug (J0129, billed by weight band) and the 96365 infusion administration; the card applies to the drug line only and does not cover infusion administration or office visit fees. Uninsured: The BMS Patient Assistance Foundation ships Orencia free to qualifying uninsured patients who demonstrate financial hardship. Only the drug ships free; the patient's bill still carries the infusion charge.
Medicare: What is available instead is Medigap, which caps the Part B coinsurance. At the 750 mg dose, Medicare allows $3,512.41 and the patient's 20% coinsurance is $702.48; Medigap Plan K reduces that to $351.24 with the deductible met or $605.94 if not, and Plan L to $175.62 or $444.47. Diagnosis-specific funds: The two Bristol Myers Squibb programs are not diagnosis-gated: eligibility runs on insurance status alone, so both apply the same way whether the record is rheumatoid arthritis (M06.9), psoriatic arthritis (L40.50), polyarticular JIA (M08.00) or acute GvHD prophylaxis (D89.810).
